Harvard and MIT Host Joint edX Data Workflow Conference

August 2, 2016

On July 29th at Harvard, a collection of data engineers and analysts from several colleges and universities in the edX consortium participated in a collaborative workshop to learn more about Harvard and MIT data workflows. Harvard and MIT have consistently partnered in reporting metrics related to their MOOC offerings and their joint research infrastructure is now essentially open source.

Data generated by MOOCs on the edX platform are continually increasing in size and complexity as millions of learners around the world interact with new platform features and course offerings.   July's workshop provided a technical introduction to data tools and allowed all attendees to share their perspectives on analytics and reporting at own home institutions.

A number of media outlets covered the conference, including eCampusNews.
