Research: A Guide to Incorporating Social-Emotional Learning in the College Classroom: Busting Anxiety, Boosting Ability

This article on how to incorporate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in higher education provides a holistic review on the importance of SEL to 1) college classrooms through reducing students’ stress and anxiety, and improving their learning experience and performance, and 2) other areas of students’ lives where they apply the same techniques and mindsets acquired in classroom. Their study, the “SuccEssful in Stats” program, not only produces results that support the previous research findings but also serves as an example to future SEL programs.
