Andrew Ang develops the research & analytics data infrastructure for Harvard's edX and Canvas courses.
Andrew received his B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, after attending Phillips Academy Andover. His current interests include data engineering and visualization technologies, Bayesian machine learning, and online education.
Prior to joining VPAL Research, Andrew worked as a data analyst at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute's Melton Lab where he developed a data management platform for tracking large-scale production of pancreatic cells for Type 1 diabetes, and at MIT's Laboratory for Financial Engineering where he worked with Andrew Lo in analyzing the psychophysiology of financial traders.
