Chris Engles joined HarvardX in 2014 and has produced, in collaboration with faculty and the HarvardX team, edX course offerings including The Opioid Crisis in America, American Government with Tom Patterson, Introduction to Family Engagement in Education with Karen Mapp, and many others. Chris brings a breadth of experience to his work — drawing on years of experience as a technical director in public radio for such programs as NPR’s Cartalk, PRI/BBC’s The World and NPR’s Living on Earth, and as an independent filmmaker. His 2017 feature length documentary Finding Heaven Under Our Feet: Making Modern Dance was an official selection of the 2018 Rhodes Island International Film Festival and screened as part of the HubWeek 2017 Fall Festival. His current feature length film Vietnam: 365 Days premiered in Los Angeles in 2019 and is an official selection of the 2019 NewFilmmaker’s New York Fall Festival.
