MOOC 101: Information Session on edX, HarvardX, and Online Learning Opportunities

In addition to traditional course materials such as videos, readings, and problem sets, MOOCs provide interactive user forums that help build a community for students, professors, and teaching assistants.   *The Ed Portal is hosting an information session on edX and online learning opportunities on Tuesday, March 25 at 7 p.m.*  edX is the online learning platform founded by MIT and Harvard which offers online courses and modules from Harvard and other universities.  Come find out more about edX, courses available through the platform, and HarvardX, the university-wide initiative supporting faculty innovation in the use of technology in teaching and research. *RSVP [1] Required.* ***** *Save the date: The Ed Portal and HarvardX will host Professor Peter K. Bol for a discussion on China’s past, present, and future on Tuesday, April 15 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.* *Professor  [2]Bol* co-teaches the course **ChinaX [3]**, available to participate in for free through edX.  *Watch [4]* the ChinaX course preview and learn more about the *course professors [5]*.
