2020-21 VPAL Annual Report

January 10, 2022

Originally published December 13, 2021. As we find ourselves transitioning back to in-person experiences—teaching, learning, and working together—we’d like to take a moment to reflect on all the hard work and innovative thinking that was accomplished across the University over the last 21 months. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to swiftly leap into a fully remote capacity, the Harvard community came together to forge a new path forward. The Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning (VPAL) was instrumental in these efforts, and continues to innovate our educational experiences for the future.

We're excited to share the 2020-21 VPAL Annual Report. In it you will find highlights from our organization during this most unconventional time. As VPAL continues to support Harvard’s teaching and learning community and its ongoing digital evolution, we encourage you to pass this report on to your colleagues and peers at Harvard and beyond.

We look forward to working with you in the coming months and years to usher in a new path forward for Harvard learners, wherever they may be.
