Casey Roehrig

Casey is a Manager of Instructional Design, and works primarily on Harvard Online courses in the medical sciences, health care, and related fields. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from NYU, where she studied plant biology, then came to Harvard, where her PhD research focused on the molecular genetics of animal development in the nematode C. elegans.

After graduating, Casey taught in the undergraduate Life Sciences courses at Harvard College, where her work focused on developing new labs and other activities that allow students to apply what they learn in class to understand more about themselves and the world around them.

Today, Casey works in the office of Harvard’s Vice Provost for Advances in Learning, developing courses that use scalable solutions to enable student learning and engagement, making Harvard’s outstanding faculty accessible to those beyond the walls of the university. She also continues to teach introductory and higher-level courses on campus through the Division of Continuing Education.
