Lip McDonald (they/he) is the Program Services Assistant at VPAL, helping to manage projects and participant communications related to VPAL’s growing portfolio of premium online courses. Before coming to VPAL, they spent around six years slinging coffee to the general population of Boston and Cambridge, while sporadically doing work organizing around poetry and labor with the Boston Poetry Slam, Mass Poetry, and 1369 United. Their work as a poet has appeared in Glass: A Journal of Poetry, Puerto del Sol, Gordon Square Review, Tin House, and been nominated for the Pushcart and Best of the Net prizes. In their free time, they enjoy spending too much time thinking about K-pop, trying to keep plants alive, and thrifting vintage glassware.
