Who is Socialize Remotely for?

Socialize Remotely is for any Harvard employee (faculty and staff) or currently enrolled student with an active HarvardKey.

What's on Socialize Remotely?

You will find all sorts of events and opportunities to connect remotely, from tutoring sessions, to group workouts, to streaming parties, and more.

What’s not on Socialize Remotely?

All events and gatherings on Socialize Remotely must follow the same rules of conduct and treatment of others as in-person gatherings at Harvard. While engaging in events publicized on Socialize Remotely, students, faculty, and employees are subject to their School’s or unit’s applicable codes of conduct and any other governing policies on personal, academic, and professional conduct.

Additionally, Socialize Remotely is meant for events and gatherings that invite either the entire Harvard community or large audiences within the community. The site is not designed to share events with a personal or very limited intended audience.   

How do I post an event?

Select the submit an event button. From there, all you need to do is enter a title and description. Then make sure to let everyone know how to access your event or gathering by either leaving a link, RSVP, or leave instructions in the description.

Who runs Socialize Remotely?

Socialize Remotely was developed by the Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning. Events posted to the site are user submitted. Questions related to specific events on Socialize Remotely should be directed to the event contact.
